HOW TO GENERATE QR CODE FOR EXAMS

Students should kindly follow the steps below to generate and print their QR Codes:

1.           Visit www.rmuexamsonline.com

2.           Use the [REGISTRATION] tab to register as a candidate. Skip step 2 if you already registered in the past. Registration is done only once for your entire stay in RMU.

Please pay attention to every feedback you get from the system.

Some tips for proper Registration:

a)   Make sure there is no space between the characters of your index number.

b)   Your index number should be in capital letters and numbers.

c)   Do not use the letter 'O' instead of zero.. A standard RMU index number is made up of three (3) capital letters followed by numbers without a space.

3a.         Log in using your Index Number and your permit number. You may change your permit number after logging in. After logging in, go to your profile using the three dots at the top-right corner of your dashboard, and make sure you have registered with the correct details. 3b. Upload your passport picture, and wait for it to be approved; if your passport picture is rejected, you will have to upload it again correctly. Without uploading a passport picture, your QR code will not show any results. Use the information below as a guide to upload your passport picture correctly. Ensure the following: a. Picture is PASSPORT STYLE, with a plain background. b. Face of student fully shown c. Picture is not flipped or shifted d. Picture is clearly visible e. MAKE SURE IT IS YOUR PICTURE

4.           In your dashboard, click on the (My QR Code) button and follow the steps given to generate your QR Code.

5.           Click on the printer icon below the QR Code (bottom right) to print your QR Code or click on PNG (bottom left) or SVG (bottom middle) to download your QR Code.. Alternatively, you can take a screenshot of the QR Code.

For easy scanning. It is recommended that the size of the QR Code from your print out should not be bigger that your fist.. And make sure it is clear.

6.           Laminate your QR Code to prevent it from becoming crumbled.. It is difficult for scanners to read QR Code on crumbled surfaces. Moreover, you will be using the same QR Code for all University examinations. So it is advisable to keep it safe and protected.

PLEASE NOTE

You will be required to present your printed QR Code at the entrance to the exams halls for scanning by an invigilator or an access control official. QR Codes presented on mobile phones will not be accepted.. This is to prevent students from entering into the exams halls with their mobile phones.

WARNING

It is a criminal offence to present a fake QR Code. If caught, you will be processed for examination malpractice and handed over to the Police.

Thank You.
